Golang Job: Senior Backend-Cloud Developer (GoLang)

Science Card's (UK) game-changing sustainability mission and cutting-edge technology have strong traction and are transforming the banking industry. Science Card retail and business customers avoid greenwashing, have stronger privacy, and can invest in IP at top-tier research institutes.

We are looking for an experienced Go developer to join our team and help us build out our cloud-based services.

We are building the world's fastest and most energy-efficient cloud core-banking system in Science Card. You will be working on the core-banking engine based on AWS Cloud & Databases, integrating with 3rd party data-APIs. You will also work jointly with mobile-app developers (Flutter) to set up secure and fast data flows to the client app.

The ideal candidate for this role will have several years of experience developing applications using GoLang and experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform. Familiarity with serverless architecture is a plus.

This is a remote (UK/EU-wide) position, with options to work in person in our team hubs in London and Lisbon.

Requirements

• Experience with GoLang's concurrency model and how to apply it in real-world scenarios. (3+ years in Go, 5+ overall)
• Knowledge of standard Go libraries and frameworks, such as Echo, Gin, or Fibre.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and how to design and implement REST and gRPC, and webhook APIs in Go.
• Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Ability to work well in a remote-first team.

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

• Familiarity with AWS technologies and how to build cloud-native applications using Go.
• Familiarity with OWASP Secure Coding Practices.
• Familiarity with serverless architecture.
• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD tooling.
